The Second Half received two first place awards from the North American Catholic Press Association (now Catholic Media Association). The column also received 2nd place, third place and honorable mention awards.
Over a period of fourteen years, my husband Jim and I co-authored a column for “The Message,” the weekly paper for the diocese of Evansville, Indiana. Our column, "The Second Half” was based on the faith, hope, love and laughter our family shared as we grew older and our children became young adults.
